Christmas is only 6 weeks away, and whilst it is a joyous occasion for some, for many others it is a time making a difficult period in their life feel almost impossible.
Share the Dignity is a charity that was brought to our attention last Christmas by one of our amazing community members over at Women in Business Adelaide, Sheree Lovell (AKA Duckie), last Christmas, and this year we wanted to continue helping them do their work.
Share the Dignity is a women’s charity making on the ground difference for girls and women experiencing homelessness, domestic violence and period poverty. They collect thousands of sanitary products each year for women in need. Small dignities make a big difference. They campaign for justice for women in Australia.
Their Christmas campaign is called #itsinthebag and the requests are quite simple. Tune into our show and spread the word to raise awareness. You just never know who you know who may need assistance.
If you’re in Adelaide and would like to join our Women in Business Adelaide Christmas lunch and donate to #itsinthebag register here Christmas Lunch and Share the Dignity #itsintheBag
If you can’t come to the lunch but would like to help out, please check out their website for requirements and donate to any Bunnings Warehouse Australia collection point between 22 November and 7 December.
Homelessness is not a choice. Help us Share the Dignity.
