#Outa, and Water Shortage South Africa (#WSSA) to champion an Independent Water Regulator for SA with Prof Anthony Turton

The Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse (Outa) and Water Shortage South Africa (WSSA) have called for the establishment of an Independent Water Regulator.

Both organisations believe the failure by the Department of Water and Sanitation to establish a regulator could lead to a crisis.

Outa’s Water and Environment Manager, Yamkela Ntola, says an independent monitor would ensure there is no political interference in the regulation of water.
