What are Eaves

Eaves are Empire.Kred’s virtual currency , you start with 100,000 eaves.

The aim is to increase your wealth

You gain eaves when

(1) You received daily dividends from players who you have bought shares in

(2) As a reward for completing missions

(3) Buying them from the shop.

(4) By selling shares at a profit.

What are Eaves

What is your share price ?

You start at a share price of 10 eaves.

One aim on Empire.Kred is to increase your share price , this will happen naturally as people buy your shares and connect with you.

Enjoy playing the game , getting involved in missions , forums and in supporting others .

Your First Investments

You can buy shares in any Empire,Kred account.

There are many strategies which are discussed in the groups.

I am going to buy my first share and have chose my friend Nance .

I found her by typing Nance in the search box which is on all Empire.Kred pages

This is her profile page

You can see the invest button (1)

Your First Investments

Buying Shares

When you click the invest button , the buy screen is displayed

Buying Shares

How many shares to buy ?

I could invest all my eaves in Nance , all 457,000 of them

That would not be a good idea

I could not then buy shares in anyone else.

When you are starting out I suggest you only buy 5 shares in everyone.

However this is your game – you decide how many – it can be from 1 to 200

Note If you buy shares in existing players , they will probably buy your shares too

So the more people you buy , the more will buy you … and they have lots of eaves to spend

How many shares to buy ?

Say hello

After you buy shares you can leave a short message which will appear on the profile of your buy

You can use this opportunity to make first contact

Please try to keep the message personal and do not try to sell anything to them , you only just got here 🙂

About Barbara

In a nutshell: having worked my way through from office junior when I left school at 16 (computers were rare and huge then – we used manual typewriters and log tables!) to management accounting, regional management for a security firm into a great role in the food ingredients industry, then up to London and computer support for some great blue chips, and finally settling in Kent to build my own business and focus on the Internet.

Now I’ve brought together my century-spanning (ok, so that’s just a lucky timing thing, but does add up to well over 15 years) experience of the web together with commercial experience, and focus on Internet marketing strategy – both enabling others to do their own and doing it for them with the team.

Marcus and I have known each other for over 10 years since we connected on UK Networing site Ecademy. I am so looking forward to talking , it will be a very lively action packed informative session.

Gerry Millington UK Country Sales Manager, Beaver-Visitec International says :

‘His lecture livened up the room, shocked some of us a little with his rather direct approach, but make complete and utter sense to me – particularly when he asked if we had ever recruited the best sales person ever in the World, who bowled over everyone at interview and yet turned out to be a complete lemon. ‘

I am looking forward to exploring Jeroen’s innovative approach to Digital Business

Jeroen Geut, a finance and accounting professional with broad experience in business. His sector and industry range from hotel and catering, financial services and information and communication technology, to name a few.

Having recently been described as a new generation accounting professional, Jeroen has proven to enhance businesses efficiency and effectiveness, taking accounting and finance away from SME owners/managers daily worries.

His key question: “How much is it going to cost if you don’t do it?” instead of saying: “Don’t do it, it will cost too much.”, allows him to work successfully with numerous clients, who also get to benefit from his broad, multi-lingual network and international focus

Interview with Brian Murray of CoTap THE workplace mobile messaging app 10/02/2016 at 6:00 pm .

Cendrine and Steven chat about Social Media for business with a special guest. 23/02/2016 at 8:00 pm

Last month I interviewed Cendrine and we got along famously and had a blast . So this month we are teaming up to co-host and chat with a very special guest about social media,

Cendrine Marrouat is a social media blogger & coach, curator, author, and photographer living in Canada. She is the founder of Social Media Slant, a blog helping small business owners and solo-entrepreneurs to figure out the basics of social media.

In 2015, Cendrine was recognized a Top 100 Business Blogger by BuzzHUMM. Social Media Slant also made Fit Small Business’ Best Small Business Blogs of 2015 list.

Cendrine contributes regular content for B2B News Network, and guest posts on several other blogs. She has authored two books.

The Little Big eBook on Social Media Audiences: Build Yours, Keep It, and Win was awarded a 2015 Small Business Book Award in the Social Media Category.

Is anyone listening to you ? .. The Tweet activity dashboard will tell you

Share

In an ideal world every time you tweet every single one of your Twitter followers has the possibility of seeing it.

Simply put your total reach (audience) is your number of followers.

Reach is not the same as the number people reading your tweet.

In fact only 1 or 2% of your followers will be see each of your tweets as a general rule . So if you have 2000 followers , between 20 and 40 people will see your tweet.

If you are retweeted by someone then your potential reach increases. The excellent Tweetreach ( http://tweetreach.com/ ) can measure the potential audience for your Tweets.

Twitter analytics takes this one step further – it gives you all the statistics on each tweet you have sent in the Tweet activity dashboard

You can register for your own Tweet activity dashboard here and there is a full explanation here

The system starts measuring from the day you register , so you may have to wait to see some action.

I have been using the system for several months and below are the daily views of all my tweets over the last 28 days

TwitAn-Summary

The chart shows the number of views day by day , for each tweet you send further information is available . This tweet was promoted using my friends on Empire Avenue

EATweet01

The graphic shows the tweet was seen 6005 times , retweeted by 59 people , 35 people favourited it , 12 people responded in my timeline , 9 clicked on my profile and of those 3 followed me

The other interesting point is that the tweet was posted on Tuesday and was still being seen on Saturday

Tweet02

The life of a tweet was researched by Peter Bray in his blog When Is My Tweet’s Prime of Life?

The Tweet activity dashboard proves you do have an audience . In following blog posts I will look behind the statistics and show how we can use them to improve the level of our readership and can increase both response and interaction.

NOTE

In the first 7 days of running your account there are limits to the number of shares people can buy in you ranging from 200 to 400 depending on how they are operating their account.

When the 7 days are up everyone can buy more shares in you , up to 2800 .

So you need to be active in the first week to encourage people to buy and invest further.

Content Curation For Everyone – Support Your Friends

Share

In the previous blog post I suggested you could use Scoop.it to discover content that is of interest to you (and your friends) which you can then publish using Twitter and Facebook.

The next step is to curate and promote your friends and contacts by promoting the content they post daily on their blogs and on Twitter.

The reason for doing this is two fold .. it helps your friends , it helps your online visibility and it builds up  a hopefully mutual supportive group of people. Even if they do not promote you straight away when they see one of your posts that interests them they are more likely to share.

There is but one problem , in normal circumstances you see your contacts’ posts only when you are online . The odds are you see less than 20% of everything they do . So how are you going to promote them , you may not see their best content when you are online.

The answer is simple and easy to do ..

1 Create a Twitter List of the contacts whose work you are going to promote .

There is no need to include everyone , start with around 20 of your more active contacts and add to the list gradually..

2 Visit Paper.li and create a free account , start a newspaper and add the new twitter list as a source.

3  Paper.li creates a daily newspaper from the tweets (which contain links) made by your contacts about topics of interest to them

Simply read this newspaper and you will find items posted by your contacts and you can share them from within the paper.

Excerpt

Excerpt

You can also embed the newspaper into your website (free of charge)  and as the newspaper is updated daily  so is your website.

This is how I created the Prospect Networking Daily and embedded it into my website .

Software that makes Android Rock

Whether you use an Android phone or a tablet the key to maximising use and benefits  of the device is having the right software.

The Google Play store makes it easy to discover and download applications and many of them are free .

Below is a list of the must have Android apps which are currently on my Samsung tablet , they allow me to stay in touch and to work wherever I am. I may well have  missed your favourite apps and would love to hear about them.

If you are getting started with Android , I hope that you will find some of the apps listed of interest . I

The list is editable , so if you have apps on your Android that you find extremely useful , could you add them to the list please .

We can then share the best of the best .

101 Things to do with a Brick

Share

This is my first blog post on my new site and my first blog for a while since I have been busy writing software for distributors and manufacturers for the last six months.

Blogs posts can be planned , created as a result of hard work and perspiration or can simply be inspired . This blog is the latter.

I am inspired by two recent happenings , being invited to guest blog on a very sociable blogging network and my use of the wonderful software created by Nick Kellet and his team at List.ly .

Many of us like to make lists , to do lists , shopping lists and reminder lists .

Then there are the bloggers who write posts which are essentially lists giving 101 useful Twitter applications , 7 places to source content for your blog .. the lists are endless.

The genius of a list blog is that we are attracted by the use of numbers in a title and we are ever hopeful of finding just one gem in the list that will be extremely useful.

Now I have started a list grandly entitled ‘101 Things to do with a Brick ‘ and it is a list with a difference , at the moment it is incomplete and I have left it so that you can add your own ideas . You will be helping to create this blog post and your ideas will be promoted.

For this is no ordinary blog post , it is an interactive blog and in addition to commenting you can  help build a list

Of course this is not a really useful list , but it is an experiment in blogging .

Please add your uses for a brick in the list by pressing the [Add to List] button below on the right at the top of the list .. looking for some inspired ideas 🙂
